The SRM-400S inherits its sophisticated design and manufacturing

ethos from the high-end SRM-700S model. This includes the meticu-

the amplifier, a testament to STAX's unwavering commitment to audio

excellence. Each FET is strictly examined to ensure only those with

optimal characteristics are employed, a practice that aligns the

SRM-400S closely with the esteemed SRM-700S standards.

A significant innovation in the SRM-400S is the introduction of a newly

designed power transformer. Unlike its predecessors, this transformer

features a dedicated winding for low voltage circuits, a pivotal develop-

ment that enhances power efficiency dramatically. This advancement

not only leads to considerable energy savings but also contributes to a

superior sound quality, setting a new benchmark that far surpasses the

capabilities of older models like the SRM-353X.
